Presenting at one of the world-leading conferences in clinical nutrition
Plenary session.
Speaker
The European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) brings together an international community of clinicians, researchers, and dietitians dedicated to advancing the field of nutrition and metabolism.
Clinical nutrition sits at the core of modern medicine, influencing outcomes in critical care, oncology, gastroenterology, and chronic disease.
My research was selected for plenary presentation, highlighting its relevance in this field.
During the conference, Professor Luboš Sobotka gave a fascinating lecture connecting the origins of life with metabolic challenges like insulin resistance. It was the kind of presentation where rigorous science becomes almost philosophical.
After the session, we spoke briefly, and he handed me a small pin bearing the Rod of Asclepius — a quiet reminder that resilience, humility, and long-term dedication remain at the heart of medicine.
It was a moment I will remember for a long time.
